We are proud to be the largest ever donor to Sydney Children's Hospital.  The Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's has benefited from the $6million that has been donated to them.  We are also a 'Founder' of The Children's Hospital at Westmead and by providing the total funding to build and fit-out the Children's Cancer Centre at Monash Children's Hospital we became the 'Founding Patron' of the Children's Cancer Centre at Victoria's Monash Children's.

When you make a donation to any charity there is always a concern:
"how much of my dollar gets through to the cause".

We use all our donations 100% for family assistance, with no management fees whatsoever taken from donations made directly to us.  All management costs come from the lotteries that we run throughout the year, so our donations remain untouched.

Most charities these days employ professional fundraisers (that take a huge percentage) to seek donations on their behalf.  The practice of allowing 'for profit' organisations to take the majority of your valuable donation is not one that we endorse.

We do more for direct family financial assistance for children under the age of 13 than others due to the fact that (unlike other children's cancer charities) we don't have a dollar limit per family per year.

We pay family electricity, gas, water, phone, Rates, rents, mortgages, accommodation, school fees & tuition, home insurance.  We assist families to get their kids to hospital for treatment, we put tyres on cars, pay for mechanical repairs, pay car regos & insurance, we have purchased 7 second hand cars for families in country areas to get their kids to city hospitals. In the past 3 years our total to families alone is $906,000.

We have helped families with purchases for kids beds & bedding & other furniture items including single room air conditioners for a child who has returned home after bone marrow transplant & needs to remain inside.  We have paid airfares to fly in grandparents & other family members for single mums who need the extra help when one child is in hospital & siblings need to get to school.

We have provided grocery vouchers and vouchers for clothes and toys at Christmas time.
We assist families all over Australia to pay their funeral fees when they lose a child to cancer & can't afford the funeral expenses.  In the current 2012-13 financial year we have assisted 18 19 families so far with funeral expenses for the youngest of children.  In the previous financial year we helped families with 22 funerals as part of the $274,000 that we paid to cancer families.  Unlike others we don't discriminate on location when a child dies, and we will share costs with other charities in order to have the total outstanding payments made.

We don't ring for donations if anyone rings and says it's kids with cancer seeking donations it isn't.

The 100% charity

100% of all direct donations to Kids with Cancer Foundation are passed on to struggling families of kids with cancer.

No management fees, salaries or any running costs of the Foundation are taken from our Donation Account', and that is our promise to cancer families and our supporters.  Our donations are only used for families who are struggling financially, and have a child in one of our Australian children's hospitals being treated for childhood cancer, or has recently finished treatment.

Cancer families must travel to a major city children's hospital to have their child treated, and the cost can cripple a family's available income over this treatment period, which is at the least months and usually years.  We have no maximum dollar amount per family/per year as we take each social worker's request on merit when it's received.
